Copper Futures End Lower On Friday

Copper futures ended lower on Friday on fears of an escalating trade war between the United States and China after US President Donald Trump threatened to slap $100 billion more in tariffs and Beijing warned it would fight back ‘at any cost’.

 

Copper futures for May delivery shed 0.5 percent to settle at $3.0585 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. While, copper on the London Metal Exchange closed down 0.7 percent to $6,769 a metric ton.
